Easter is just around the corner again! I made a recipe for delicious healthy Yogurt Jellies for the dog, and our girls have already secretly tasted them. They were very popular!
Ingredients
– a pack of gelatin
– 500ml yogurt
– 2 carrots
– a handful of blueberries
– a teaspoon of cranberry powder (or a handful of fresh cranberries)
– an Easter-themed silicone mold (available at most online department stores, but be sure to choose one made from food-safe silicone)
Instructions
Divide the yogurt into three parts, and put each part with a ‘color’ in the blender. Blend well! I boiled the carrots briefly in advance, because my blender is not very strong. They then become softer and easier to process.
Make the gelatin according to the instructions on the package, and let it cool slightly (not too much, because then it will solidify and you can no longer add the yogurt mix).
Then mix the gelatin into the yogurt mixtures, stir well, and spread the mixture over the silicone mold.
I left it in the refrigerator overnight to firm up. Then you can feed them to your dog. I give 1-2 per day as snacks to my dogs, but pay close attention to your dog’s nutritional needs.
Storing the yogurt jellies
If you do not want/cannot use all the yogurt jellies immediately, you can simply freeze some of them. If you freeze them in the silicone mold, they will not stick together and you can easily take them out individually to thaw.
