Some time ago I was approached by the Dutch brand Wolfork, if I wanted to try out and review their raw food. Of course I wanted that! Wolfork is available via their website, after completing a questionnaire you will automatically receive nutritional advice for your dog and you can order exactly what your dog needs.

About Wolfork
As mentioned, Wolfork is a Dutch brand, which was created out of love for their own dogs. That’s a great motivation to look for the best dog food! Wolfork has hired a number of nutritional scientists to achieve a balanced and complete composition. The food is made from 100% purely natural ingredients, without any additives, their website writes. The website also contains an extensive knowledge center with a lot of information about nutrition. What I really appreciate is that the original scientific source is also mentioned. So they’re not simply ‘shouting’ something, it’s actually backed by science.
About No4 Adult Complete
After completing the questionnaire for one of my dogs, Herja, I received nutritional advice for her on the website. It also states exactly how much I can feed her. Because Herja is a very active gundog, she can eat quite a lot of calories in a day. I was advised to feed her 710 grams of the Adult Complete variety per day.
The ingredients are also mentioned in the nutritional advice, so I immediately knew that this variant contains chicken, lamb, turkey and deer, as well as fish oil, seaweed, spinach, carrot, apple and blueberry. A complete analysis of the nutrition is shared on the website, and I think that is a huge plus for Wolfork.
The meat used and many of the vegetables are organic, which logically means a higher price, but it feels good to feed organic. Sustainable production of raw materials is also very important for dog food, of course!
The food comes in bags with 50 gram burgers, which are therefore very easy to portion. This makes this food also very suitable for smaller dogs! That is a big plus compared to food that comes in large 1kg rolls, those rolls are useful for people like me with several large dogs, but not at all useful for people with one smaller dog. You can easily defrost food that comes in bagged burgers per portion, so that you never defrost too much. Super handy!
The Taste Test
There is little I can say about the Taste Test other than: successful! Both Herja and the other ladies ate the food with gusto. Now I am of course aware that I have Labradors and that they like a lot different types of food, but if something is not tasty to them, they will not eat it. Fortunately, that was not the case with this diet.
As mentioned, the burgers are easy to portion, and also very easy to incorporate into the feed enrichment items that I use. It is easy to put it in, for example, a Kong (just wash your hands of course), or spread it over a lickmat.
My Judgment
I am very satisfied with this food! It is eaten with gusto, the composition is good and the ingredients used are very nice and organic.
For me personally, budget-wise, it is not possible to provide my dogs this food 24/7, but I certainly want to continue feeding it. In my opinion, highly recommended!
