For Skadi’s birthday I baked a delicious peanut butter flavored dog birthday cake, and today I’m sharing the recipe with you!
Doggy Birthday Cake with Peanut Butter Flavor
Ingredients:
- 250g buckwheat flour
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter for dogs
- water
Instructions:
- Pre-heat the oven at 180C/350F
- Grease a cake pan (I used a 20cm diameter pan)
- Mix flour, eggs and peanut butter together with a mixer. Add water until you get a smooth cake dough.
- Put the dough into the mold and even it out
- Bake for about half an hour, or until the cake is nicely browned and a skewer comes out clean
- Let it cool before you decorate it
When your cake has cooled completely, you can start decorating it. You can of course opt for a decoration of, for example, kibble or something similar, but if you are in the kitchen, a cream cheese frosting is of course so much fun!
Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
- Pack of cream cheese
- optional: an extra flavor (for example honey)
- optional: food dye (preferably use safe dyes, I prefer natural coloring powders such as Pink Pitaya powder from Rawnice in this case)
Instructions:
- Stir the extra flavor and coloring through the cream cheese, and scoop the whole into a piping bag with a star-shaped nozzle
- Spin beautiful swirls on your cooled cake
- Serve right away
Skadi really liked her cake!
