It’s one of the worst nightmares for all of us, whether we have animals or not: house fire. Or to end up in the hospital yourself, with your pets at home, unattended. Emergency services that come to your home or check your wallet want to collect as much information about you as possible as quickly as possible.
A sticker or card at the front door, stating the number of pets present in your home, can help emergency services and hopefully contribute to the safety of both the rescuer and your pet. The first free download included with this blog post is a card that you can print out, fill out and stick at your front door. This shows how many animals are present in the house.
The other download is a card that you can print on sturdy paper, then fill out and fold in half and put in your wallet. You can write the names and phone numbers of the people who can be called in case of emergency on it. I have included the cards in both color (bright red) and in black and white. If you don’t want a bright red picture at the door, you can opt for black and white. Although bright red of course stands out more!
I hope none of you will ever really need these cards! But it’s still a nice feeling to at least have the information with you and on your front door, right?
